monotype (planographic print)
OAB Definition
in printmaking, a print produced from a planographic plate that has been inked in a painterly fashion with additive and/or subtractive methods, allowing only a single print to be pulled. Successive prints without reinking would be considered ghost prints. Prints pulled from the reinked plate using the same reference image would be considered part of a series or varied edition.
