endpapers
OAB Definition
blank or decorated pages, made of paper, at the front and back of a book, used to protect the first and last pages of a text block and to give the bound book a finished look. One leaf is often glued down to the book’s board (see pastedown) and the other leaf or leaves are not (see flyleaf).
Often, the term endsheets is used as a synonym.
ABT Definition
Sheets used in the binding of a book, at the front and back of the text block. Typically, one half of a sheet is pasted inside a cover, with the other half overlaying the text block.
