adhesive binding

OAB Definition

leaves or folios bound solely with an adhesive.

This term has, historically, been used as a synonym of perfect binding. The modern variety of adhesive-only bindings makes this narrow use impractical.

ABT Definition

A type of binding in which leaves are secured together solely with an adhesive.
